If you’re thinking of learning to fly, you’ve probably looked at more than one place and are going over your options. Take a discovery flight with Crosswinds, and every other place you go will feel like they’re stuck in the 20th century. The difference in price is definitely worth it to fly modern planes with talented, caring instructors that do it because they care, not because they have nothing better to do.
Wow! Again I appreciate everything your team has done. I don’t think given the time constraints that this monumental task could have been completed elsewhere. In the guard and throughout you will always have an exemplary recommendation from me. Not to mention the top notch, clean and well maintained fleet you offer to your clients which is very impressive. It was also very obvious to me yesterday that you run a very tight knit family with your staff, as I witnessed everyone’s interest regarding Connor’s check-ride. Either that or they were happy to finally see him go…
Anyway the experience, I feel couldn’t have been matched anywhere else in Michigan and I am glad we were able to find you.

Scott does a GREAT job with the unusual attitude training. I would strongly recommend it to anyone, although I think someone with some baseline flying experience would get more out of something like this vs a new private pilot, although I think anyone would benefit. In any case, I just wanted to let you know that I think Scott is an outstanding instructor and this program that you guys are putting on is excellent.

Solid operation that understands the OpenAirplane program and wants to make it work well. I did my UPC with these guys and found both management and instructor to be quality-focused and safety-conscious. If you have a chance, pay attention while you’re there to their other operations. With a program that reaches out to high school kids and enthusiastic attitudes about making pedestrians into pilots, Crosswinds is the kind of operation that’s going to help start the pilot population growing again.
