Tyler graduated from Grand Valley State University with a business degree (Finance) in the Winter of 2013. He has always wanted to fly. His Grandpa took him up on his 14th birthday in his Piper Warrior and Tyler was hooked. In 2010 and he started flying and received his Private and Instrument ratings.  Tyler started flying with Crosswinds soon after that to receive his Commercial, CFI, and CFII.

Tyler finds the challenge of learning how to fly and the reward of success is what keeps him passionate about aviation. He believes you’re always a student learning something new each day you take flight. Flying allows you to see new sites everyday with the freedom and ability to do much more travel than you could ever have in a car.

What Tyler would say to an aspiring pilot:

“Flying is one of the greatest experiences he or she will ever have. Learning to fly is not very difficult; any average person can do it. However, it does take a strong commitment to achieve this goal, and it’s very well worth it.”
